The first TBM used for the construction of the East extension line of Shenyang Metro Line 1 passed the acceptance in NHI and went offline smoothly. This TBM is equipped with 6 main motors, with a single unit power of 210 kW and a total driving power of 1260 kW. It is the most powerful TBM of the same type in the world. It is expected that the average monthly tunneling length can reach 500 meters. The biggest highlight of this TBM is that the localization rate has reached 100%, realizing a new leap in China's high-end manufacturing.
The East extension project of Shenyang Metro Line 1 starts from Liming Square Station in the West and Expo Park Station in the East. The project is located at the junction of mountain and plain, and the geological conditions are very complex, which puts forward many new topics for TBM equipment manufacturing. NHI developed one set of TBM for the project specially, and the power system has reached the world's highest of similar TBMs. While developing this TBM, NHI, together with the top research institutes in China, conducted a successful technical breakthrough, solved the technical problems of key components of the TBM, achieved another breakthrough in China's high-end equipment, and realized the 100% nationalization of TBM manufacturing for the first time. TBM is a high-end equipment, known as "land aircraft carrier". For a long time, the core parts of TBM made in China have been dependent on imports. For the first time, the core components of this TBM launched by NHI are made in China. This TBM has also become another new star in the "Tiantuan" made in Shenyang.
